CURRICULUM VITAE - english version:

Susanna Veerman (1975)  studied in Moscow at the Gnesin Secondary Music School and theTchaikovsky Conservatory, where she obtained a degree in choral conducting (1997). In 1998she received a diploma in choral conducting at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory,and in 2001 graduated with a Performance Degree (MA). She received an Organ Performance Degree at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Ben van Oosten in 2005. In addition, she obtained a first degree diploma in church musicas both cantor and organist. Between 2003 and 2008 Susanna won prizes at organ competitions in Schläegl, Austria, and the Dutch cities of Brielle, Maassluis and Leeuwarden. In 2005 she received a three-year grant from the Prince Bernard Culture Fund and the Performing Arts Fund to study organ with Louis Robilliard in Lyon. In 2007 she was awarded the silver medal of the Société Académique “Arts-Sciences-Lettres” for her contribution to French choral and organ music.
Susanna has acquired broad performance experience as an organist, conductor and accompanist on both organ and piano. Since 2005 she accompanies the Westerkerk Choir and the Bach Orchestra (continuo) at cantata services in Amsterdam’s Westerkerk. She is currently the conductor of the Rijnland’s Christian Male Choir “Vox Humana” in Leiden, the Vlaardingen’s Male Choir “Orpheus” and Christian Male Choir “Sursum Corda” in Enschede. With RCM Vox Humana she recorded the CD Klassieke Parels (Classical Gems). Since 2009 she is principal organist of the Cavaillé-Coll organ (1881) at the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam West, where she has been cantor and second organist since 1999. At this church she also organizes international organ concerts. Her debut CD, containing organ music by French composers, was released in 2006. A second CD of French works followed in 2008 which was recorded on the 1894 Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Saint-Antoine des Quinze-Vingts in Paris (Festivo). Susanna performs at around 25 organ concerts yearly, in the Netherlands as well as abroad (Russia, Belarus, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Finland). She is especially devoted to French Romantic organ music.

1989-1997:     Study and obtained Diploma Choir Direction at the Music Academy (high school) and Moscow Conservatoire (diploma attached).
1993-1998:     Study and obtained Diploma in choir direction at the Sweelinck Conservatoire, Amsterdam, under Jan Pasveer (diploma attached).
1996-2002:     Study and obtained Diploma in Church Music (as organist) at the Sweelinck Conservatoire, Amsterdam under R. Bot (diploma attached).
1998-2002:     Study organ at the Sweelinck Conservatoire with Hans van Nieuwkoop and later with Wim Diepenhorst.
1998-2001:     Study and obtained diploma “Uitvoerend Musicus” (2nd phase) choir direction at the IDE in Gorinchem with Joop Schets (diploma attached).
2002-2003:     Study and obtained diploma  as cantor 1st grade, major subject Church Music at the Conservatoire Amsterdam.
2002-2003:     Continuation of study 1st phase and obtained diploma under Ben van Oosten in Rotterdam. (Diploma attached)Formerly known as “Praktijkdiploma”.
2005:   Diploma of study organ 2nd phase (Uitvoerend Musicus, organ) with
Ben van Oosten in Rotterdam. (October 2005 obtained diploma master)..
October 2005 and 2006: continuation of organ studies (private lessons) with Prof. Louis Robilliard in Lyon (France) with grant of the “Fonds voor de Podiumkunsten” (found for podium arts) and the “Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds” (Prince Bernhard Culture found).
September 2005: Conductor  of “Harderwijks Christelijk Mannenkoor Veluwse Zangers”.
September 2007: Conductor of “Vlaardings mannenkoor Orpheus”.
April 2008: cd-recording with the label `Festivo at st.Antoine church in Paris. (French Romantic Music).
